Chapter 1 : Man In The World Of Science

The world of today is thriving upon Science and its daily fantas­tic developments. If one is sick, it is the modern medicines that cures. The daily luxuries of life so essential for man's comforts are provided by science. These amongst so many others include elect­ricity and its wonders of light, heat, cooking ranges, frigidaires, wash­ing machines, radios, televisions, cars, trucks, trains, ships, aircrafts, electronic equipments, calculating machines, computers etc. These have intoxicated man with its charm, comfort, wealth, position and power.

As the common man does not have any scientifically proveable evidence of life after death, so he considers death the total end of everything. Therefore achievement for him is the material success and the name he can acquire in this life. This is his all. He cannot understand that after death when his body would have been reduced to dust and after his dust would get scattered and mixed with tha earth all around, how could it ever be possible for him to be raised from the dead when no trace whatsoever of him is left anywhere?

Four thousand years back Nimrod, the first king of mankind after The Great Deluge, was a rebel against God. He even tried to shoot and kill God. That is how he got the title of the "Mighty hunter” against God [1]. He was the builder of the "Tower of Babel" [2]. The top of this tower temple was so very high that clouds used to float under its top. "Bab" means "Gateway" and "El" means "to perfection or heaven". That is how this tower got its name "Bab-el" which stands for "Gateway to Heaven". A painting of the Tower of Babel has been done by Pieter Bruegel. It shows the clouds floating under the top of the Tower of Babel. This painting is shown on page 63 of “Science and Discovery" under the heading of "Man Reaches to the Heavens" published for International Pictorial Treasury of Knowledge by International Graphic Society, Engleswood Cliffs, New Jersey, U. S. A.

King Nimrod propagated that everything in the universe including mankind had come about due to a process of 'Evolution' by nature i. e. merely by a freak accident in a meaningless universe. So also destruction of everything merely depended upon time. Hence there was no such thing as a reward for good deeds done on earth in a "heaven”. Nor will there be any punishment for vice committed during this life in a "hell". The Universe will exist for ever.

Nimrod claimed there was no necessity for a God. Especially for such a God whom none could contact, see, feel, or talk to. Therefore everyone must rely upon themselves if they wanted to achieve anything. It was defeatism and cowardice to put the blame for one's shortcomings on God. Therefore belief upon such a God was the height of absurdity and ignorance. These theories have become the basis of Atheism and Communism.

Nimrod further taught that people should rely upon their wisdom and skill to plan and their strength and efforts to execute their objec­tive The wondrous cities with their palaces, the bridges across the Euphrates, the building of dams and irrigation canals, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the extraction of copper, the manufacture of bronze etc. were the results of hard work and human intelligence.

When the “Tower Temple of Babel" was put to ungodly worship [3] the curse of God fell upon entire Mankind. At this point of time the generations of Noah were united with one language. Overnight the single language of the builders of Babel changed into numerous different languages. This caused chaos and confusion. This curse broke up the unity of Mankind. Different language groups departed from Babylon in different directions to set up separate nations and Kingdoms. With the numerous Nations around us, one realises that this curse is still plaguing man even after 4000 years, and preventing unity amongst Mankind. Now its Nuclear race threatens the very existence of man on Earth.

Man challenges— Has anyone who has been dead come back to life to give proof that there is life after this earthly life? He does not believe in the first miracle of the raising of the dead to life, after the body had been deliberately cut, mutilated, mixed and scattered over a vast area so as to leave no trace :

"And when Abraham said (unto God) ; My Lord : Show me how Thou givest life unto the dead (after it has been reduced to dust and scattered in the earth and become naught). He asked: Dost thou not believe ? Abraham replied ; Yea. but I ask in order that my heart may be at ease. (God) advised : Take thou then any four of the birds (i e. four different species; Abraham took a peacock, an eagle, a dove and a cock), and cause them to incline unto thee ( i. e. teach each of them to come to you when you call their respective names and when these birds have been so trained then cut them up into small pieces and mix these pieces all together ). Then scatter this mixture of cut up pieces on each of the (several nearby) hills, Then call them, ( and you win see before your eyes how the scatte­red mutilated parts will come flying from the different directions of that particular type of bird which you have called and you wilI see how) they will come to thee, (reassemble and come back once again to life ) in haste. And know that Allah is Mighty, Wise" [4].

Modern man basically does not believe in any "Miracle". Because miracles cannot be substantiated by scientific methods of testing. Hence miracles are beyond the scope of knowledge of ordinary man. Yet Man thinks himself in his pride and arrogance to be the all knowing and nothing is beyond him !

Science is proving daily before us that it is far from perfect and cannot meet all the problems facing us. New theories or processes are being discovered or proved showing that the previous theories which were relied upon to be correct were in fact wrong. In spite of these daily facts the modern Man contends that unless some modern methods of research could show that there is life definitely after this life, most men are not inclined to pay any heed to the question of resurrection. Just because it has not been proved to his satis­faction by rigid scientific tests, he refuses to believe in the evidences before him. He usually discards the existing evidences as unproved.

On the other hand all scriptures the world over proclaim :

This our present life on earth is transitory – This is evidenced by the facts of life. Not a single person from the time of creation of Adam is alive with us today. No not even the mighty kings nor any scientist nor anyone else has survived for thousands of years to be with us today: Man, inspite of all his past and present scientific achievements including visiting the moon and possibly other planets has failed in his most cherished attempt of prolong­ing his life indefinitely. All religions teach that God Almighty is the only One Who is alive from infinity till eternity [5]. That the entire universe has not come out of nothing. It has not come about by chance or accident. And that the "Something" from which this vast unfathomable creation has come about is from the Creator. It is He, Who has created Man for a very definite purpose saying :

"For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return'' [6].

''For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul ?" [7].

"Marvel not at this : for the hour is coming, in that which all that are in the graves shall hear HIS voice,"

“And shall come forth (from their graves) : they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life ; and they that have done ill, unto the resurrection of damnation" [8].

But I say unto you, that every idle word that man shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement" [9].

"For there is nothing hid which shall not be manifested" [10].

"And as I saw the dead small and great, stand before God: and the books were opened : and another book was opened, which is the book of life : and the deed were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works" [11].

All religious books make it clear that Man has come on this earth for a very definite purpose at the will of God, Who is the Creator of all things. As such Man will have to give an account for what he has done on earth. And on that basis Man is to be rewarded or will suffer in the next life. For this purpose Man would be resurrected from the dead long long after he has died and become dust and his dust scattered into nothingness and his identity completely lost. That He Who created Man originally out of nothingness, when no trace of him existed can certainly recreate him once more out of nothingness whenever He likes without any difficulty whatsoever. That all power rests in and with God.

Chapter 2 : The Being Of Light That Comforts Man After Death

We are lucky that a lot of research has been done recently on the question :

"Is there any truth of life after this earthly life ?"

On this subject Dr Raymond A. Moody Jr., M. D. in the U.S.A. informs that over the five year period between 1970 and 1975 he has studied more than one hundred subjects who have experienced "Clinical death" and been revived. Their accounts of this experience are startlingly similar in detail. The findings of this research has been published under the title of :

"LIFE AFTER LIFE” [12].

A. COMMON FEATURES OF THOSE WHO EXPERIENCED TEMPORARY DEATH

Dr. Moody has stated on page 21 of "Life After Life" :

"Despite the wide variation in the circumstances surrounding close calls with death and in the types of persons undergoing them, it remains true that there is a striking similarity among the accounts of the experiences themselves. In fact, similarities among various reports are so great that one can easily pick out about fifteen separate elements which recur again and again in the mass of narratives that I have collected".

These basic common features as gathered by Dr. Moody are :

1. A man is dying. As he reaches this point he naturally feels the greatest physical distress, because he hears the doctor pronoun­cing him dead.

2. He hears an uncomfortable banging or ringing loud noise.

3. At the same time he feels he is moving very rapidly through a long dark tunnel.

4. After this he suddenly finds himself outside his physical body.

5. But he is still in the immediate vicinity of his dead body.

6. So he sees his body from a distance, as though he is a spectator.

7. He watches the various attempts being made to revive him from the dead and the reaction of those relatives around his body upon his being pronounced dead.

8. Naturally he is in a state of emotional upheaval.

9. He notices that even after his death to earthly life he still has a "body” but one very different in nature and with very different powers from the physical body he has left behind.

10. He glimpses the spirits of relatives and friends who have already died.

11. Immediately as he is out of the dark tunnel or passage the appears a very powerful "being of light"—a warm and comforting and loving spirit.

12. This "being of light" begins to ask him a question non-verbally to make him evaluate what he has done throughout his life and shows him a panoramic playback of all the major events of his earthly life from his very childhood till his death in the flash of a second so that he can evaluate :

(1) What he has done

(2) What he should not have done and

(3) What he did not do but what he should have done

13. These make him collect himself and he becomes more accustomed to his new odd condition.

14. At some point he finds himself reaching the barrier or line between earthly life and the next life.

15. Yet he finds he must go back to earth as the time of his death has not yet come. He has yet got some things to do which he must complete. At this point he resists for now he is taken in
with his experiences in the new life that follows death to this earthly life. He does not want to return back to the earthly life as the next life is unimaginably superior. But he has to.

B. THE ACTUAL EXPERIENCES OF THOSE WHO HAD TEMPORARY DEATH

From pages 69-70 of "Life After Life" two out of many similar experiences are quoted here :

Case 1 : After all this banging and going through this long, dark place all of my childhood thoughts, my whole entire life was there at the end of this tunnel, just flashing in front of me. It was not exactly in terms of pictures, more in the form of thought, I guess. I can't exactly describe it to you, but it was just all there. It was just all there at once. I mean, not one thing at a time, blinking off and on but it was everything, everything at a time. I thought about my mother, about things that I had done wrong. After I could see the mean little things I did as a child, and thought about my mother and father, I wished that I hadn't done these things, and I wished I could go back and undo them."

Case 2 : "I knew i was dying, and I remember thinking that I wanted to provide for my family. I was distraught that I was dying and yet that there were certain things that I had done in my life that I regretted and other things that I regretted that I had left undone.

"This flashback was in the form of mental pictures, I would say, but they were much more vivid than normal ones. I saw only the high points, but it was so rapid, it was like looking through a volume of my entire life and being able to do it within seconds. It just flashed before me like a motion picture that goes tremendously fast, yet I was fully able to see it, and able to comprehend it. Still the emotions didn't come back with the pictures, because there wasn't enough time".

"I didn't see anything else during this experience. There was just blackness, except for the images I saw. Yet, I definitely felt the presence of a very powerful, completely loving being there with me all through this experience.

"It is really interesting. When I recovered, I could tell everyone about every part of my life, in great detail, because of what I had been through. It's quite an experience, but it's difficult to put into words, because it happened so rapidly, yet it's so clear".

C. THE BEING OF LIGHT

On pages 58-59 of "Life After Life" Dr. Moody's recordings show :

"What is perhaps the most incredible common element in the accounts I have studied, and is certainly the element which has the most profound effect upon the individual, is the encounter with a very bright light. Typically, at its first appearance this light is dim, but it rapidly gets brighter until it reaches an unearthly brilliance. Yet, even though this light (usually said to be white or "clear") is of an indescribable brilliance, many make the specific point that it does not in any way hurt their eyes, or dazzle them, or keep them from seeing other things around perhaps because at this point they don't have physical "eyes" to be dazzled.

"Despite the light's unusual manifestation, however, not one person has expessed any doubt whatsoever that it was a being, a being of light. Not only that, it is a personal being. It was a very definite personality. The love and the warmth which emanate from this being to the dying person are utterly beyond words, and he feels completely surrounded by it and taken up in it, completely at ease and accepted in the presence of this being. He senses an irresistible magnetic attraction to this light. He is ineluctably drawn to it.

"Interestingly, while the above description of the being of light is uttery invariable............What each was trying to get across was that they took the being to be an emissary, or a guide. A man who had no religious beliefs or training at will prior to his experience simply identified what he saw as "a being of light". The same label was used by one lady of the Christian faith, who apparently did not feel any compulsion at all to call the light "Christ"!

D. THE BEING OF LIGHT QUESTIONS — WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ON EARTH?

Two cases are quoted from pages 60-63 of "Life After Life" :

"The next step of this experience clearly illustrates the difficulty of translating from this unspoken language. The being almost immediately directs a certain thought to the person into whose presence it has come so dramatically. Usually the persons with whom I have talked try to formulate the thought into a question. Among the translations I have heard are "Are you prepared to die ?", "Are you ready to die ?", "What have you done with your life to show me ?", and "What have you done with your life that is sufficient ?". The first two formulations which stress "preparation", might at first seem to have a different sense from the the second pair, which emphasize "accomplishment". However, my own feeling is that everyone is trying to express the same thought comes from the narrative of one woman who put it this way.

Case 1 : "The first thing he said to me was that he kind of asked me if I was ready to die, or what I had done with my life that I wanted to show him.

“The voice asked me a question :’Is it worth it?’ And what it meant was, did the kind of life I had been leading up to that point seem worthwhile to me then, knowing what I then knew."

Case 2 : “I got up and walked into the hall to go get a drink and it was at that point, as they found out later that my appendix ruptured. I became very weak, and I fell down. I began to feel a sort of drifting, a movement of my real being in and out of my body, and to hear beautiful music. I floated on down the hall and out the door onto the screened-in-porch. There, it almost seemed that clouds, a pink mist really – began to gather around me and then floated right straight on through the screen, just as though it weren't there, and up into this pure crystal clear light, an illuminating white light. It was beautiful and so bright, so radiant but it didn't hurt my eyes. It’s not any kind of light you can describe on earth. I didn't actually see a person in this light, and yet it has a special identity, it definitely does. It is a light of perfect understanding and perfect love.

“The thought came to my mind ‘Lovest thou me ?' This was not exactly in the form of a question, but I guess the connotation of what the light said was, 'If you do love me, go back and complete what you began in your life’. And all during this time, I felt as though I were surrounded by an overwhelming love and compassion."

From these actual experiences of those who had "Clinical Death" and were revived, it establishes unrefutably before Mankind the following facts of life in the hereafter which all the religions of the world have been preaching from the very begining :

1) There is definitely life after death.

2) Man has a body even after death which is merely a process of getting out of our earthly body just like a snake sheds off its skin and carries on to live even after that in the next stage of its life.

3) Man will be displayed all his worldly deeds. He will not escape from anything he has done on earth.

4) Man will have to give an account for what he has done during his earthly life.

5) That a “Being of Light" is giving comfort to all the entrants into the new life after death irrespective of their religion, wealth, caste, colour or nationality.

6) For the Being of Light all humanity is alike. All are on the same footing. Be they Christians or Protestants or Jews or Pagans or any one else, makes no difference !

7) The Being of Light is asking the very same questions to each one and there is no escape for anybody from it - about their deeds on earth and its value after death.

This is beautifully brought out in a verse which my father used to recite during my childhood :

"God will not ask thy creed
Nor will he seek thy birth
Alone will He demand of thee
What thou hast done on earth"

Chapter 3 : Who Is This Comforting Being Of Light ?

One is naturally tempted to ask who is this loving "Being of Light", who comforts the new entrants into the life after death.

The Holy Bible says :

"And God said, let there be light: And there was light".

"And God saw the light, that it was good……..” [13].

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God…….."

"The same was in the beginning with God".

"And all things were made by him; and without him was not a thing made that was made" [14].

From these quotations of the Holy Bible it would appear :

1. God created "Light".

2. "Light" was a good thing.

3. In the beginning the "Word" was with God.

4. All things were made by God out of the "Word" and nothing was created without the "Word".

Now let us look at the history of Man. It will be found that Man from time immemorial has believed in a Guiding Light, a Saviour. The chart given below vividly brings out that this belief is widespread throughout the earth from even pre-historic times :

A. WHO IS THIS COMFORTER OR BEING OF LIGHT ?

With so many names before us it becomes difficult to find out who is this "Spirit of Light" the loving Comforting — Saviour of the Universe. Let us start our search systematically based upon the records as available from the very beginning of Man.

B. ACCORDING TO THE FIRST MAN – ADAM

The incidents that took place at that time of the creation of the First man are quoted here from pages 89 & 91, “Gospel of Barnabas” [15].

"God gave His soul to men, while all the holy angels sang : 'Blessed be Thy holy name O God our Lord'.

"Adam, having sprung up upon his feet, saw in the air a writing that shone like the sun, which said : "There is only one God and Mohammad is the messenger of God". Where upon Adam opened his mouth and said : I thank thee, O Lord my God, that Thou hast deigned to create me; but tell me, I pray Thee, what meaneth the message of these words : 'Mohammad is the messenger of God'. Have there been other men before me?"

"Then said God: 'Be thou welcome, O my servant Adam. I tell you that thou art the first man whom I have created. And he whom thou hast seen is thy son, for whom I have created all things . Who shall give light to the world when he shall come; whose soul was set in a celestial splendour sixty thousand years before I made anything’.

''Adam besought God, saying : 'Lord, grant me this writing upon the nails of the fingers of my hands'. Then God gave to the first man upon his thumbs that writing; upon the thumb-nail of the right hand it said : ‘There is only one God', and upon the thumb-nail of the left hand it said : 'Mohammad is the messenger of God’. Then with fatherly affection the first man kissed those words, and rubbed (his thumb-nails) on his eyes, and said : "Blessed be that day when thou shalt come to the world".

C. ACCORDING TO THE HEBREW TEXT OF HOLY BIBLE

The Hebrew Text of verse 16 of Chapter V of “The Song of Solomon" is transliterated hereunder from page 1159 of the Old Testament — Hebrew text with English translation printed in 1950 in London for the British and Foreign Bible Society :

Hebrew Text Transliterated :

16. Hikor mumethakeem
"Wey Kehelav Mahamadeem"
zey dodi wey zey rayee
beynoth Yerushalayeem.

Translation :

16. His mouth is most sweet :
"And he is called Mohamad".
This is My beloved, and this is My friend,
O daughters of Jerusalem.

D. ACCORDING TO HINDU SCRIPTURES

The "Puranas" are the 3500 years old religious books of the Hindus. “Bhavishya" means foretellings of things that will happen in the future.

Below is the English translation of the Sanskrit text from Parv 3, Kanda 3, Adhyaya 3, Slokas 5-8 of "Bhavishya Puran”, published by Venkateshwar Press, Bombay :

"A person, who has not been taught how to read or write, will appear (after many centuries) with his companions. His name will be Mahamad.

"He will be the teacher of the Universe teaching what they knew not".

"A Raja from India after giving this Maha Dev Arab a bath in the Panchgavya and the Ganges water, will offer him the presents of his sincere devotion and showing him all reference will say : ‘I make obeisance to thee'.

"O Ye ! the dweller in Arabia, the pride of mankind, Ye have collected a great force to kill the Devil and you yourself have been protected from your opponents".

"0 Ye ! the image of the Most Pious God, the biggest lord, I offer myself as a slave to thee. Take me as one lying at thy feet''.

The name of the promised saviour of the Earth has been given as "Maha-mad"' also in "Allo-Upanishad" translated by Upendra Math Mukhopadya of Calcutta.

E. ACCORDING TO SIKH SCRIPTURES

Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh Religion has preached :

"Pakh Padho Kalma Rab da Mohammad nal milaye"
"Ho Ya mashuk-e-Khuda yeda ho ya yallah" [16]

Translation :

"O Pious People ! Recite the Kalma of the Creator adding to it the name of Mohammad.
"Who is the beloved of God by dedicating his very self to Allah”.

F. ACCORDING TO THE BOOK WRITTEN BY MOSES AND JOSHUA

The following was revealed by a Jewish Scribe as recorded on page 427 of "The Gospel of Barnabas" [15] :

"The scribe then said : 'Pardon me, for I have sinned'.

“Said Jesus: ‘God pardon thee; for against Him hast thou sinned’.

"Whereupon said the scribe : 'I have seen an old book written by the hands of Moses and Joshua servants and prophets of God, which book is the true book of Moses. Therein is written that Ishmael is the (fore) father of the Messiah (Mohammad the Messenger of God), and Issac is the (fore) father of (Jesus) the messenger (who will announce to the world the coming) of the Messiah. And thus saith the book, that Moses said "Lord God of Israel, Mighty and Merciful, manifest to thy servant the splendour of Thy Glory". Where upon God showed him His messenger (Mohammad) in the arms of Ishmael, and Ishmael in the arms of Abraham. Nigh to Ishmael stood (his younger brother) Isaac, in whose arms was a child (i. e. Jesus), who with his finger pointed to the Messenger of God saying :

"This is he for whom God hath created all things".

"Thereupon Moses cried out with joy : ‘O Ishmael, thou hast in thine arms all the world and paradise: Be mindful of me, God's servant, that I may find grace in God’s sight by means of thy son, for whom God hath made all’.”

G. ACCORDING TO NEW TESTAMENT

"I (Jesus) have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come (after I have gone away), he will guide you unto all truth :

“For he shall not speak of himself ; but whatsoever he shall hear (from God ) that shall he speak and he will show you things to come" [17].

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring aII things to your rememberance, whatsoever I have said unto you" [18].

H. ACCORDING TO HOLY JESUS

Jesus has disclosed the following facts regarding the Com­forter Saviour in "The Gospel of Barnabas" [15] :

1) The very first thing that God created was the Soul of Mohammad ( page 91 ). So he is the "Light" that God created and found the Light to be good [13].

2) God kept the Soul of Mohammad for 60,000 years in Celes­tial Splendour before He created anything (page 91).

3) Everything that has been created is for the sake of Mohammad (pages 91, 225). So he is the "Word" referred to in the Holy Bible through which everything has been created [14].

4) His name will be Mohammad (pages 89, 91, 97, 105, 129, 225, 227, 319, 331 & 437).

5) Whosoever will bless Mohammad will be blessed by God, whosoever will curse Mohammad will be accursed (page 2 7).

6) All the earlier prophets from Adam till Jesus became prophets only because of “Mohammad" (page 105).

7) The mission of Jesus was to inform the Jews as well as the World of the coming of Mohammad, the Messenger of God (page 167).

8) Blessed is the time when Mohammad will come on earth (pages 91, 106).

9) Idols all over the earth will fall down upon the birth of Mohammad and when lifted would speak like human beings announcing the birth of Mohammad (page 169).

10) Mohammad will come on earth as the Messenger of Salvation (page 227).

11) There will be no more prophets born after Mohammad (page 225).

12) Mohammad will be born South of the land of Israel (page 223).

13) A white cloud would give shade over him whenever he would go out under the open skies and that he would be recognised by this sign (page 167).

14) Destroyer of idolatry and idols (pages 167, 223).

15) Jesus informs that even though the heaven and the earth shall fail but the faith taught by Mohammad shall never fail (page 227).

I. ACCORDING TO ASTROLOGY

Jamaseph the great astrologer of Persia had predicted 4000 years back the birth of Prophet Mohammad [20] in his works known as "Jamaseph Nama" or the records of Jamaseph.

J. ON THEORY OF JUDGEMENT

All religions have taught that Man would be resurrected from the dead on the Day of Judgement and would have to give an account of what he has done on earth. So it becomes very impor­tant to know what function the Comforter Saviour of the Universe is likely to play at this most important event in the lives of each one of us.

On pages 127 and 129 of "The Gospel of Barnabas" [15] one reads :

"When these signs be passed, there shall be darkness over the world for forty years, God alone being alive to Whom bo honour and glory forever. When the forty years be passed, God shall give life to His messenger, who shall rise again like the sun, but resplen­dent as a thousand suns. He shall sit, and shall not speak, for he shall be as it were besides himself. God shall rise again the four angels favoured of God, who shall seek the messenger of God, and, having found him, shall station themselves on the four sides of the place to keep watch upon him. Next shall God give life to all the angels, who shall come as bees circling round the messenger of God. Next shall God give life to all His prophets, who, following Adam shalI go every one to kiss the hand of the messenger of God, committing themselves to his protection. Next shall God give life to all the elect, who shall cry out : 'O Mohammad, be mindful of us !‘ At whose cries pity shall awake in the messenger of God, and he shall consider what he ought to do fearing for their salvation…..... "

Thus Holy Jesus has clarified that on the day of Judgement all the prophets from Adam till himself would place themselves under the protection of Mohammad the Comforter—Saviour of the Universe, who would plead for the safety of the followers of the earlier prophets from Adam to Jesus and also for mankind at large.

Chapter 4 : Did Man Evolve From Prehistoric Animals ?

A. DARWIN'S THEORY

Charles Robert Darwin (1809-82) once again revived the old theory of "Evolution" of King Nimrod in his thesis published in 1859 under the title of “The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection”. He could not prove his theory because he came up again and again against what he termed "The missing links".

Darwin has stated on page 1 of "The Origin of Species" [21] :

"As by this theory innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth ? I will here only state that I BELIEVE the answer mainly lies in the record being incomparably less perfect than is generally supposed".

As a result a lot of research was done by eminent teams af resear­chers since 1859 to find out these “missing links" which would prove beyond doubt that life from single unit cell must progressively have grown with the passage of time more complex into very different things from their origin as millions of years elapsed and that nothing in creation retained its original form for any length of time.

Yet very surprisingly many LIVING types of animals and plants are essentially the same as their fossil representatives. Some even believed to be over a billion years old ? These living fossils have proved again and again beyond any scope for denial that there is no such thing as EVOLUTION. Otherwise they would have completely changed in the course of time from their fossil representatives into something quite diferent as claimed by the theorists of evolution that man has come about from a single cell unit.

B. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH DISPROVES EVOLUTION !

Late in 1938 Miss M. Courtenay-Latimer, a curator of the Museum at East London, a port on the Southeast coast of South Africa, was surprised to find a strange - looking fish amongst the catch of a fisherman. She sent the details of this fish to the renowned ichthyologist, Professor J L B Smith of the Rhodes University College at Grahamstown (South Africa). He was stupe­fied and exclaimed :

"My surprise would have been little greater if I had seen a dinosaur walking down the street".

It is the ancient Coelecanth which lived over 50 million years ago and was supposed to have been extinct for about 70 million years.

Jacques Millot, the Director of Madagascar's Institutes of Scientific Research has acknowledged :

"Throughout the hundreds of millions of years the Coelecanth have kept the same form and structure. Here is one of the great mysteries of evolution .. " [22].

Another amazing discovery was made in the 1963, which came as a jolt to the Scientific world. A deep-sea mollusk (Neopilina Galatheae) was recovered off the coast of Central America at a depth of about two miles. These mollusks were assumed to have become extinct about 350 million years ago. But now scientists have realised the Neopilina Galatheae are not only still with us but also have remained unchanged in a period of over 350 millions of years [23].

In 1910 on the slope of Mount Wapta in British Columbia, Charles B. Walcott made a startling discovery from "Middle Cambrian" rocks, considered 500 million years old. He found 70 genera and 130 species of perfectly preserved remains of such creatures as sponges, jellyfish, and a remarkable array of annelid worms in which even the bristles, scales, and intestinal tract are highly preserved. All are exactly like their modern counterparts.

One is tempted to ask why these creatures of the sea have not evolved into some higher from of Life. The figure of one half billion years is indeed too long a period of time for them have remained unchanged if there is any such a thing as Evolution.

After dealing with creatures from the sea, let us refer to the article "Insects in Amber", which appeared in the November 1951 issue of "Scientific American". Here one gets the following information :

On page 57 :

"Cockroaches still exist in very much the same form as they did 250 million years ago".

Cockroaches are believed by some scientists to have been existence for at least 350 million years without any transformation whatsoever. Some may even put that figure at a billion years.

On page 58 :

"The common black ant has been in existence for over 70 million years without any change”.

On pages 60-61 :

“By and large the insect population of today remains remarkably similar to that of the earlier age. All the major orders of insects now living were represented in the ancient Olinocene forest. Some of the specific types have persisted throughout the 70 million years since then with little or no changes".

"On page 6 of the May 1961 issue of “Science Digest" is an article under the title of "The Dragonfly : Fossil On Wings" in which we are informed that fossils of the dragonfly exactly resembling the modern-day dragonfly have been found in Jurassic period assumed to be atleast 170 million years old.

Now let us turn our attention to reptiles. On the offshore islands near New Zealand have been discovered the Tuatara or Sphenodon.

Scientists confess : "The skeleton of a reptile found in the Jurassic deposits of Europe is so nearly identical with that of the living Tuatara that very little change in the bone structure must have taken place during a period of 150.000.000 years” [24].

Living creatures are not the only forms which destroy the very basis of evolution. Let us now consider only one of the plants out of the many that can be referred to.

The Paleobotanist Professor Theodore Delevoryas of Yale University has written about the life-span of the modern “Cycad" tree without any change or evolution on Page 134 of "Morphology and Evolution of Fossil Plants" as follows :

"The true cyeads, of the order Cycadales, are in existence since early Triassic times ( i. e. over 200 millions of years ) or perhaps even earlier without any change".

Thousands of other examples can be cited of specimens having been in existence for hundreds of millions of years, in many cases surviving for billions of years without any change or evolution
whatsoever.

Now let us analyse and try to discover if modern man has come about through a process of evolution out of monkeys or from pre-historic men.

Primitive monkeys and gibbons appeared in Burma over 50 million years ago. The tail-less primitive apes appeared more than 25 million years ago. Whilst the earliest Ape-like men known as Olduval in East Africa and Australopithecinse in South Africa appeared more than 500,000 years back—perhaps even a million years ago.

Traces of the Neanderthal man, a prehistoric cave dweller during the last glaciation are to be found in various places dating back to about 100,000 years. They are believed to have been in existence for at least 400,000 to 500,000 years. They had receding foreheads and a stocky physique. They were widespread in Europe, Asia and Afnca. They were the nearest to modern men. According to scientitic research these prehistoric men, if we should call them men, had a basic mental capacity similar to that of the modern man according to available scientific data. But they have disappeared mysteriously from the face of the earth sometime about 15,000 years ago : i.e.a few thousand years before the advent of Adam.

Anthropologist Hibben explained it this way :

"It would seem that the Neanderthaloids become more distinctively Neanderthaloid as they progressed rather than less so. In fact a number of Neanderthal skeletons said to be younger, seemed to be more primitive looking than the earlier ones” [25].

"Neanderthal man ... abruptly disappeared," says anthropologist Howell, "the evolutionary tendencies that he exhibited during this period are extremely puzzling. For he seems to have gotten more 'primitive', not less so......He was noticeably different from modern man and became more so as time went on.”

“In addition to stopping abruptly, the classic Neanderthaler is replaced with equal abruptness by people like ourselves. There is NO BLENDING, no gradual shading from one type to the other" [26].

No wonder the scientists have eliminated Neanderthal Man as a direct link from the supposed chain leading to modern man.

C. FROM WHERE DID MODERN MAN COME ?

Anthropologist Howells, a past president of the American Anthropological Association, discussed this very problem :

"We now enter the whole question of the origins of Homo Sapiens ( i.e. modem man ).

"It is the worst problem in our evolution. Of course we have gaps to face, but here it is NOT a question of lack of fossils…….Yet the problem obstinately remains unsolved.

"Who are we—us, ourselves—and what have we to do with Neanderthal ? What are the connections of the two kind of man ?" [27].

This brings us to the second category of discoveries—the discoveries of bones which look exactly like those of modern men. Such fossils are labelled Cro-Magnon Man — a generic term for the first clearly recognized example of what anthropologists call full-fledged "Homo Sapiens" — humans like you and me.

In any case, the first Cro-Magnon Men to be recognized were found in the spring of 1868 A. D. This was just nine years after the publication of Darwin's "The Origin of Species".

Soil was being removed to make way for a railroad at Perigord, France that was to run through Les Eyzie-de-Tayac. Five skeletons and some bits of foetal and infant bones were discovered from a rock shelter which became exposed.

These bones revealed a man fully "modern" in the European Sense—tall, handsome, having regular features, high forehead, prominent chin, small teeth, thin skull, without the heavy brow ridges so characteristic ot the Classic Neanderthal Man.

Since then numerous remains of the Cro-Magnons, or us, the modern men have been found throughout Europe froin Southern England to Russia. France, especially, is rich in its remains.

What is the status of the Cro-Magnon Man's evolutionary history ? Is he linked to older, more primitive “man” or "near-men” ?

Can we really find a connection for the Cro-Magnon Man with some more primitive being ?

The answer, admit prehistorians, is "No" !

Here is what experts say about the Cro-Magnon Man :

"Just as we might actually be finding some of the connections to which the threads of evidence seem to be leading, we are frustrated. The evidence itself disappears . We have only Neanderthals.

"Beyond and before this Neanderthal occupation we drop off to still poorer levels of information. The human remains are few and piecemeal, and therefore quite incompetent to answer most of the problems they raise.

“And the main one is still the birth of Homo Sapiens" [28].

These scientific researches clearly show that there is no established link between "Prehistoric Man" and us "Human Beings". "Prehistoric Man" and “Modern Man" are two entirely distinct creatures who have no connection whatsoever between them. They have definitely not evolved from one to the other according to scientific findings. Similarly also according to science, man has not evolved out of any one of species of monkeys and/or apes as was supposed erroneously before these researches were carried out.

Numerous examples can be quoted of individual species disappearing. The vacuum thus created was in many instances filled by something totally different. The most vivid example of mass termination of the past dwellers of this earth and their surroundings took place about seventy million years ago. Strange creatures were roaming this earth then. Dinosaurs dominated the land. Pterasaurs (flying reptiles) flitted through the skies. The oceans were alive with giant marine reptiles called ichthyosaurs and mosasaurs. Plant life in this “Age of Reptiles" would seem strange to us. Cycads, ferns and fern-like plants dominated the landscape. The flowering plants, the fruit trees and the vegetations of today were simply not in existence.

The landscape of the earth was so totatly different that "we might", as one paleontologist put it, "well imagine ourselves upon another planet”. None of the mammals with which we are ordinarily familiar then existed. There were no dogs, no horses, no cattle, no cats. The array of feathered fowls, the varieties of grains, fruits and vegetables and fish with true scales were absent. No man walked upon the earth to view this strange creation. Only a few of the common insects with which we are familiar, such as butterflies and bees, are known to have existed.

Then suddenly some strange and terrible disaster wrought havoc on this earth, as a result of which the entire world of that time perished with an alarming abruptness. The flying reptiles were totally exterminated. The great dinosaurs vanished completely from the surface of the earth. The great reptiles of the sea became a thing of the past according to the findings of Scientists.

"There can be no doubt about it. All the dinosaurs, along with various other.......... reptiles, became extinct.

"......Not One of Them Survived, as is amply proved by the fact that during almost a century and a half of palentological exploration, the wide world over, no trace of a dinosaur bones or teeth has even been found in any post-Cretaceous rocks, not even in the earliest of them.

"The proof of the geologic record on this score is Irrefutable" [29].

The famous geologist Carl O. Dunbar, in his well-known text­book ''Historical Geology", is simply awed by the sudden extinction of the Reptilean Age and the equally sudden appearance of Mammals and the modern plants of today—plants upon which mammals and man alike depend for their survival.

Musing about this problem, he has quoted George Gaylord Simpson, one of the most respected men in Paleontology :

"It is as if the curtain were rung down suddenly on a stage where all the leading roles were taken by reptiles, especially dinosaurs, in great numbers and bewildering varieties and rose again immediately to reveal the same setting but in an entirely new cast in which the dinosaurs do not appear at all, other reptiles are mere supernumeralies (unimportant bit-part actors) and the leading parts are all played by Mammals" [30].

Everywhere that scientists look they are faced with this certainty that there is no such thing as "Evolution" ! It has always been a case of sudden disappearance of old species and shortly thereafter an equally sudden appearance of new creations ! Scientists cannot answer how and where they come from ! All religions of answer with one voice—It is the work of God, Who creates what He pleases, then effaces when He wishes !

D. IS GOD THE CREATOR OF EVERYTHING ?

How it is possible to establish scientifically beyond any scope for doubt that God is the Creator of each and every person, place or thing ? Let us take the thumb impression of any person. In how many people do we expect to find a matching thumb impression ? Do you think there is a chance of finding even one duplicate in a hundred thousand ? The answer is a "No" ! Then what are the chances of finding a single duplicate amongst all the people living on earth, if we were to examine the impressions of the palm of a man with all his fingers and thumb prints ? Again the answer will be a "No". If we were to include the whole body of a person and note each and every little detail, the number of hairs, the number of pores, the various organs etc. besides the various lines and marks on a human body what conclusion do we arrive at ? That it will be impossible to fined a duplicate from the first to the last man on earth !

Let us now turn our attention for a moment towards nature. There also you will be surprised to find that no two leaves of the same plant, no two petals of the same flower, no two peaks of the same mountain range, no two tributaries of the same delta are identical in all respects. Each has its undeniable individual features.

A glance at our Galaxy would also reveal these glaring differences. Each star, planet, satellite, meteor is an individual. Each follows a separate course of its own, rotates at different speeds, directions and angles. Everyone of them are composed of different elements. No two are exactly the same ! Yet in the midst of all this diversity and differences there is no chaos ! Every second the Sun or the Moon is not crashing into the Earth or one galaxy into another or the stars of the same galaxy into one another !

1) There are these great differences between the works of men and the works of Allah. The same minute and searching investigation, which displays the defects and imperfections of the one, brings out the beauties of the other. If the most finely polished needle on which the art of man has been expended be subjected to a microscope, many inequalities, much roughness & clumsiness, will be seen. But if the microscope be brought to bear on the flowers of the field, no such result appears. Instead of their beauty diminishing new beauties and still more delicate, that have escaped the naked eye, are forthwith discovered—beauties that make us appreciate, in a way which otherwise we could have had little conception of the full force of this saying of Jesus :

2) "Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin :

3) "….And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon, in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these" [31].

4) These facts all around us brings out very vividly that Allah always gives personal individual attention to each and everyone of His crea­tions even to the minutest details of the lines to be found in each thumb impression or petal to make them individuals not only on this earth but even in the entire universe ! Thus bringing home with full force the first portion of the "Kalama" !

“La llaaha Illal Laahu" i.e. “There is none worthy of divine worship except Allah" which in this context brings out very clearly that there is no one who is the creator of anything whatsoever—but Allah, The One, The Individual.

5) He, who is able to do all these distinctive acts requiring continuous individual attention to each and every little detail therefore must of necessity be not only an Individual— "A One" but that He also proves He is omnipresent in each and every person, place or thing by making them individuals like Himself !

6) Scientific evidences already read earlier repeatedly shows that this Creator allows a thing to remain in existence for a period of time. Nobody knows how long that will be ! Then suddenly He
effaces all traces of it without any warning or notice and without any escape. Then equally suddenly He replaces it with something very different. Scientists are left dumbfounded, they cannot even venture any explanation as to how it happened ! Just let us look at the sudden effacement of the Reptile Age. Its sudden replacement by mammals and plants of our age. The sudden disappearance of the Prehistoric Animals looking like man — the Neanderthal and after
a period the sudden appearance of us the modern Man. All religions have described Him as the Shaper, the Maker, the Creator out of nothing, the Omnipotent, the Omnipresent, The Doer
of what He Pleases, the Lord of the Universe, Who has no equals, the one and only Who has been alive from Infinity and will remain so for Eternity, the Uncomparable that is Allah. He does not permit anyone whether you call it Evolution or by any other name to usurp His functions of creating what He wills and to give them an end when He wills with no connection whatsoever between the various types of creation, which are in each case an individual creation not
connected to anything else in the entire universe.

The Holy Bible mentions this fact:

"So God created man in His "Own Image" in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them" [32].

God has no shape or form, Hence the phrase "Own Image" can only means the individual oneness with which He has created each and every person, place or thing i. e. "Individual Ones" thus proving very clearly that the Creator of all these many billions of "Ones" must Himself be a "One and only one" and these indisputable facts prove that there never was and can never be any such thing as Evolution in the entire universe be they galaxies or stars or any thing else. In each and every case there is an individual creation by the Only Individual Creator !
